We are proceeding through a chillier than average Maine Springtime, but nothing really exceptional. Our walking hours are constrained on some days but we are keeping up, on average. We are hearing the birds and, sometimes, getting to see them

It has been awhile since we posted but here is an early Spring sight from the Gardiner (Maine) waterfront on the shore of the Kennebec river.
While we were along the mid-Maine coast in July, we found this summer tanager visiting near our bird feeders.
