The usual group of geese and ducks on the Ice Pond last week. This end of the pond was not filled with algae at this time (see previous posts).
A pair of ducks sample the underwater goodies on the Ice Pond. The algae is becoming visible.
We found the Ice Pond on Mason Island covered with a vast cover of algae last week. The ducks and geese seem to mostly ignore its presence.
After wandering near Pleasant pond in Litchfield, Maine, over many days, I finally found a bird close enough to ‘capture’!
Along the Kennebec river on the Augusta east side, I typically find a heron or two checking out this small island not far from the towering Memorial Bridge. This is probably not the first photo I have posted from this spot.
