Last fall the local beaver population started damming the stream between the original beaver bog and the middle bog.

An osprey attempts to catch lunch (came up empty) on a dive into Potter’s brook near Upper Pleasant pond in Litchfield, Maine. This was my first visit to the Webber-Rogers Farmstead Conservation Area, a property of the Kennebec Land Trust.
