Explosion of leaves
The leaves are not the only wildlife turning red these days.
The fall foliage colors are peaking at the bog along the Smithfield Plantation reserve in Litchfield, Maine.
The small, active, and ubiquitous black-capped chickadee is the Maine state bird.
Colors are creeping into and out of the woods
After years of seeing pileated woodpeckers without a camera ready, this past month I have accidentally found them in my yard or at my mother-in-law’s yard. Here is a handsome guy near the coast of Maine.
