Birds on the light pole
Our walk down to the coastline this weekend found us at the yacht club parking lot where the birds were congregating to celebrate the new year.
A cardinal sits in a tree near the bird feeder near the coast of Maine
During our last visit to the Connecticut shore, we captured this cormorant, we think?
A female mallard slowly cruises through the algae infested water of a small Connecticut pond.
Caught in the act in southeastern Connecticut today: a female downy woodpecker goes after the syrup in the hummingbird feeder.
While walking along the Kennebec river in Augusta, Maine, the other day. This cormorant kept moving ahead of me as I walked.
Another look at the lone loon on Woodbury Pond the other day (see previous post). Typically they are seen well out in the middle of the pond whenever we visit. When they do venture closer to shore, typically I have no camera or just a phone. This is the best I can do with the pretty good iPhone Pro Max, hand held.
