From my visit to the great marsh on Mason Island in March 2016. This osprey mom was keeping two chicks hidden in her nest while keeping me in her sights.

A heron carefully stayed on the edge of the marsh while several egrets (not shown) were grazing for small fish snacks along the front edge of the Poggy Bay marsh. The heron was hard to notice among the rocks but a telephoto lens helps.
