Mrs. Wood Duck overlooks the stream

The female wood duck that I have encountered several times on the stream near our house preened herself on this bridge railing.

A lucky break while creeping along the far bog last week. A pair of wood ducks were foraging and did not realize my presence.

Mother Nature has some pretty good places to quarantine

While walking past the pond, we spotted a pair of goldeneye ducks feeding. This one just popped up from below.

After waiting twenty minutes at the bog’s edge, a small beaver, we think, came by on an un-named mission.

Spring time in central Maine on the Cobboseecontee stream yesterday. We are seeing large flocks on a variety of water ways.
