We approached the bog and the ducks flew away. I wandered along the bank and waited twenty minutes for something to happen. Just before I turned to leave, this male wood duck flew in for a landing 10 yards away.

Meandering ducks
In an inlet on a nearby lake, I usually find a flotilla of ducks. As we approach, they sometimes fly away in a rush. At other times, the will just mosey out of the inlet as we come closer, as shown above.
