After spending an afternoon trying to get a decent image of the barn swallows sprinting around the barn and field, I settled on this one perching on the garden fence.
This juvenile fox was one of two checking out the side yard near the barn in the middle of the day.
A turkey vulture cruised slowly over the unplanted Maryland field near our friend’s house. An unusual defective feather allowed us to identify the bird on it’s several visits that day.
