We have seen this one north of Bangor and locally; I didn’t know they had non-Latin descriptive naming. There is one with striped wings I am trying to image for you.
I’ve read , but don’t remember where, that common names for dragon and damsel flies are a relatively recent development undertaken by a critical mass of Onadata experts, and so fortunately there’s quite good correlation between common names and unique species identity.
Anyway I look forward to the next siting and posting. I can’t get as close to them as your lense 😉
I had to look this one up in Stokes Beginners Guide to Dragonflies. I’m going with Ruby Meadowhawk
