While back in Connecticut today, we caught a lone heron on the Ice Pond during sunset.

Beach visitor
This likely gull spent hours along the edge of Lake Contoocook in New Hampshire last month. The shape of the beak is the strongest reference I have in identifying this beach-goer as an immature seagull.
